Oral Presentation
The Cochrane Collaboration is increasingly recognized for the quality of its reviews, published quarterly in the Cochrane Library. From its inception, General Practitioners and Family Physicians have played many important roles in the Collaboration, serving as authors, editors, coordinators of Cochrane groups, and on the steering committee that directs the organization. Early in the Collaboration's history, Chris Silagy formed the Primary Health Care Field, to support the efforts of primary care clinicians in the collaboration. This presentation will briefly introduce the work of the Collaboration, review some of the contributions of WONCA members to the Collaboration and the Cochrane Library, and outline ways that interested WONCA members can become involved in the various activities of the Cochrane Collaboration.
