Text:
Allergic Rhinitis is thought by many to be a trivial condition. This is definitely not the case as recent studies have shown that more manpower hours are lost due to allergic rhinitis than to asthma. It must also be remembered that there are many other conditions associated with allergic rhinitis, which occur as a result of the allergic reaction. These include sinusitis, otitis media and the aggravation of asthma by the allergy problem. The mechanism and development of allergic rhinitis will be discussed as well as treatment modalities.
