Identify a problem in the community assisted by the Basic Health Unit (BHU);Propose intervention in community; Ratify activities in primary care in undergraduate medical school.

Four medical students at the Federal University of Sergipe during fifteen weeks of the internship module in Social and Preventive Medicine proposed interventionist approach in the community as Pinto epidemiological study area. The epidemic of Dengue fever,experienced by the state of Sergipe in 2008, was necessary EU approach, through actions of Popular Education in Health with the intent to minimize morbidity and mortality. Dengue is an acute infectious disease of short duration, of varying severity, caused by an arbovirus transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito. The most severe form , "Dengue Haemorrhagic" is lethal if not cured in a timely manner. Shares in Adult Education held in schools, homes assisted by the Yellow Team at UBS Onesimus Pinto in Aracaju, and ongoing training in Dengue, the Community Health Agents through lectures between April and June 2008.
